Center for Biological Diversity-A Good
Starting Point for an Environmentalist
The center simply states its objective: Saving
lives on Earth! “The Center’s programs are devoted to saving life on Earth:
protecting biodiversity in different arenas through science, legal action,
policy advocacy, negotiation with government and industry — and creative,
strategic media and outreach,” it underlines.
Indeed, the activities of the Center and the
wealth of information for volunteers, including numerous petitions, promise us
a better world to live in altogether.
It also has the opportunity
for subscription to its weekly newsletters and programs. You will be updated
constantly with videos and articles about the wildlife, endangered, species,
and the things to be done with them.
The website also offers
lots and lots of serious petitions oriented to protecting and saving wildlife.
Notes of the website
At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of
human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a
vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic
value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future
for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so
through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands,
waters and climate that species need to survive.
