We are highlighting the importance of reefs in many of the reviews on these pages as they are home to crustaceans  that filter the waters and many other living beings that constitute biodiversity needed by ecosystems.

The Great Barrier Reef is probably the mecca of numerous marine scientists, divers, and lovers of natural beauties with its thousands of meters of length and beautiful undersea offerings in addition to the environmentalists for the problems that the Reef has experienced in the last few decades.

Nevertheless, there is an organization, Australian Marine Conservation Society, that fights for the Reef and invites volunteers to do so, with the motto of "Healthy oceans for a healthy planet."

You can help them by taking action or volunteering in many issues whether or not related with the Reef if you are one of the aficionados of reefs and marine life.
