koreandogs.org has been fighting against cat and dog meat trade in South Korea for years, with their petitions and many other means actively, along with other groups consisting of humans.
While the situation in North Korea is unclear, the progress in South Korea is promising. For example, the groups were recently able to close the "Taepyeong Slaughterhouse in Seongnam City, which started in the 1990s, and was the largest dog slaughterhouse in South Korea. At least 80,000 dogs every year were brutally slaughtered there, the meat being distributed throughout the country." That means they saved about a million dogs for a decade.
We have been backing them and koreandogs.org in many other platforms (#socioschool).
koreandogs.org has prepared petitions for almost all provinces of South Korea. Please see them below and sign the petition (note: you can encounter graphic images).
